A trip to Kaziranga is a must for the ones who desire watching one-horned rhinoceros. India Wildlife Tours lets you experience one of the most sought-after wildlife holiday destinations, Kaziranga National Park. The national park is highly recognized for its elephant-grass meadows, swampy lagoons, and dense forests. Also, it is home to more than 2200 Indian one-horned rhinoceros. In 1985, the park became a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. People from around the globe flock here to see Indian one-horned rhinoceros. The Kaziranga Proposed Reserve Forest, with an area of 232 km2 (90 sq mi), is the breeding ground of elephants, wild water buffalo, and swamp deer. Later, the tiger population increased in Kaziranga, and it was declared a Tiger Reserve in 2006.
The park is recognized as an Important Bird Area and is also highly regarded for its conservation of avifaunal species.
The presence of the Brahmaputra river makes it look enigmatic. Visitors love seeing types of vegetation like alluvial inundated grasslands, tropical moist mixed deciduous forests, alluvial savanna woodlands, and tropical semi-evergreen forests. The trees you can spot here include Kumbhi, the cotton tree, and the elephant Apple.
Regarding the Fauna, The forest Kaziranga Park is home to the Indian Rhinoceros alongside other species like Hoolock Gibbon, Indian Elephant, Sloth Bear, Tiger, Leopard, Wild water buffalo, swamp deer, etc. Also, visitors find a good number of migratory bird species from Central Asia.

Kaziranga Park remains closed from 01 May till 31 Oct every year so if you’re looking for the best time to visit it, it’s worth visiting between November to April. When we conducted a trip to Kaziranga National Park as a part of the India Tour Packages, we booked Morning and afternoon jeep safaris. The best part is that during the entire trip you get binoculars. The idea of visiting a park with more than 2000 Rhinos is amazing in itself. Also the national park is home to more than 100 tigers.
However, when you visit it, you need to keep in mind that the park is large and has water sources, so less tiger sightings. However, it’s the breeding ground of many other wild animals – elephants, wild buffalo, deer, etc. Also, you will be mesmerized by the many species of birds – including 25 globally threatened and 21 near threatened species. Our visit to the park led us to exploring lesser white-fronted geese, and ferruginous pochard, Baer’s pochard. Also, visitors often get the opportunity to spot Blyth’s kingfisher, white-bellied heron, Dalmatian pelican, spot-billed pelican, spotted greenshank, and black-bellied tern.

-There are a couple of viewpoints where you can get off the jeep and climb up a platform like a tree-house to look at in the distance, which makes it even more amazing. However, you need to opt for extras as often the Elephant grass makes it difficult to see small animals in some places. There are many natural ponds and lakes inside the park making the national park worth visiting. Embark on a thrilling jeep safari with Solo Travel India Female agency Titlyy to the Kaziranga National Park, which is highly regarded with various animals, including one-horned rhinos, Asian elephants, swamp deer, Royal Bengal tigers, and wild water buffaloes.
